Henry Lennox (John Light)
Margaret is related to Henry by marriage (Her cousin married his brother). He is a lawyer and proposes to Margaret in the beginning. She rejects him and he only crops up a couple more times. He represents a the gentlemen class that Margaret initially values. He is everything Mr. Thornton is not. However, it also becomes clear that his rank and civility don't necessarily endow him with good personality traits. He's arrogant and condescending to the "new money." He proves that the "way things were" isn't necessarily best.
